Comtan is a catechol-o-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitor used along with the levodopa/carbidopa combination to treat Parkinson's disease.
Comtan works by allowing more of the levodopa/carbidopa medication to reach the brain where it has its affects in treating Parkinson's disease.
