Cafergot is a combination ergot alkaloid and analgesic aid used to prevent and treat migraine and other severe headaches where other more common medications does not work. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Cafergot works by relieving the pain and pressures of the onset of the migraine. The caffeine combination helps the Ergotamine component of the tablet work better and faster by causing more of it to be quickly absorbed into the body.
